Misinterpretation

In New York City, an Albanian interpreter becomes entangled in her clients' struggles despite her husband's warnings. Working with Alfred, a Kosovar torture survivor, triggers her own buried memories. A rash attempt to help a Kurdish poet leads to danger. As her choices strain her marriage and mental health, she travels to Albania to see her mother. Back in the U.S., facing the fallout, she must confront the blurred lines between reality and illusion.
